Music Review: Avril Lavigne-Let Go

HELLO. Sorry I was supposed to post earlier this month but it just didn't happen. SO, recently I have become a little bit obsessed with Avril Lavigne. I have her entire first album 'Let Go'. That is what I'm going to do my Music Review on today! :P
Avril Ramona Lavigne is a punky rock/popish singer chick who is awesome.
The songs on her album Let Go are:

My favorites would have to be I'm With You, Losing Grip, Mobile, My World and Things I'll Never Say. They are all good though. Give her a listen! :)

Doctor Who

I am doing a T.V. Show review of Doctor Who: The New Series!
Okay, so Doctor Who has been around forever, and It's about this..'man' called The Doctor, but he's actually not a human, he's a Time Lord. The last one. The Time Lords are an alien species from a planet called Galiffrey. They look human, and are very similar to humans, but they have two hearts. The Time Lords also have a sort of space ship called a T.A.R.D.I.S. (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). It acts as a Teleportation/Time Machine. Anyhow, the series is about a Time Lord called The Doctor, the last Time Lord. I won't tell you how he became the last because hey, I can't give away everything, right? Yes. So, The Doctor's T.A.R.D.I.S. looks like a 1970's Police Box, because a wire in The T.A.R.D.I.S. called the chameleon circuit, which makes the T.A.R.D.I.S. look like something you'd find in the place and time you are in, is broken. So it's always a police box. The Doctor generally has companions he travels with, and travels through space an time setting things right. Sometimes he'll go into the future, sometimes into the past. The show is sometimes funny, always interesting, and I recommend watching it. So...yeah. The one I am reviewing is the new series, because the show has been around forever. There are a lot of different ones, and The Doctor never dies. No, seriously. Well, he does, but he can regenerate. O.o
But yeah. WATCH IT.

Book Review: Dork Diaries series

Dork Diaries is about a school DORK named Nikki Maxwell, and well, it's her diary.
Follow Nikki with her PATHETIC SCHOOL-LIFE, her ANNOYING little sister, Brianna, and her CHARMING crush, Brandon, and the EVIL, (some-how) POPULAR girl, MacKenzie.
I liked the series, and it was fun.
It's kinda like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, only it's a girl.
So yeah, it's a good series, I read all the books.
I'd recommend it to girls ages 9 - 13.

Book Review: The Mysterious Benedict Society

Hi! Sorry I'm late this month...but I don't know what to write about this week! Um...so...I guess I'll do a book I'm not finished reading yet...If you don't mind....Okay. The Mysterious Benedict Society:

ARE YOU A GIFTED CHILD LOOKING FOR SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES?" the paper had read. Now there they were, Reynie (who was very logical), Kate (Who always had her bucket), Sticky (who's brain things stick in) and Constance (who tended to be quite a pain). "Special Opportunities" awaited them. But little did they know, these opportunities were not only special, but they were dangerous. Mr. Benedict (who was the one to put the add in the paper to begin with), had found that all TVs, Radios, and anything that broadcasts, is being filled with hidden messages that sneak into your brain. But why? The messages don't make sense. "Poison apples. Poison worms." It said. "Those who are gone are not dead, they are simply departed." It doesn't make any sense! That's why Mr. Benedict wanted Kate, Constance, Reynie and Sticky, to find out. They'd have to be spies. The decided to call themselves "The Mysterious Benedict Society." The Hunger Games Book Review!


When you turn twelve-your name is entered one time to the games. When you turn 13, your name is entered seven times, and they collect. You can enter your name more times and you will get food and a bit of money (as starving is not uncommon in District 12, the home of Katniss Everdeen and her beloved little sister, Prim.) but entering for the games is no contest--

The Games are a cruel way of entertaining. One girl and one boy from each district (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, and district 12.) between the ages of twelve and eighteen are chosen to fight to the death on live television.

Katniss Everdeen is sixteen years old and has had to care for her mother and little sister Prim all of her life. In such a dark place and time, the only things that make her life more than a dark hole of depression are hunting in the woods and her little sister Prim. This year, when a "winner" is chosen for the games, Katniss' name will be entered over twenty times.

Primrose "Prim" Everdeen is twelve years old. Her name has been entered only once to the games. The odds are fully on her side. She won't get chosen...right?


Wrong.
Katniss has no choice. She volunteered and took Prim's place in the games. Prim would die, she couldn't even shoot a bow and arrow.


So. With this information. I bet you are curious.
Read the Hunger Games.
I dare you.


It's a great book but I wouldn't really suggest it to younger kids (like you know...seven year olds.) as its pretty dark, but it's very well written and absorbing.
