It's the 2nt book in the Kane Chronicles and
I was once again sucked into the magical land of Egypt.
You know, it's hard to make a second book in a series really enjoyable, because there are expectations. Well, apparently that's not a problem for author, Rick Riordan! The Throne of Fire was just as amazing if not better than The Red Pyramid (the first book in the series.)! I loved it!
Sadie: Apophis is rising, and he is powerful. If we don't awaken Ra with the scrolls we have no idea how to find by day after tomorrow, the whole world is doomed. As if that weren't enough. Carter is lovesick and HAS to find Zia, Apparently it's more important than saving the world.
Carter: Hey! Sadie! We've got bigger problems! Set still wants to kill us, and we have a new enemy... Vladimir Menshicov. Oh. and we have to protect our entire league of magicians! Oh, and multiple deitys would gladly kill us.
Sadie: Pretty much. and YOU just want to find Zia. Carter: HEY!
